Make it stand out

In December 2023, the St. Paul City Council voted to officially rename a long section of Concordia Avenue, from Griggs Street to Mackubin Street, “Rondo Avenue.” In February 2024, the St. Paul City Council voted to restore St. Anthony Avenue to “Rondo Avenue,” from Western Ave to Rice Street. The street was renamed Concordia Avenue in 1964, and sixty years later, Rondo Avenue will be renewed.

In celebration of these changes, the Rondo Roundtable, Reconnect Rondo, and RCODE are inviting everyone to the Rondo Commemorative Plaza to mark this historic occasion.

Activities will include spoken word poetry from Marie Flowers, musical performances by ComMUSICation, Walker West, and remarks from Former Councilmember Russel Balenger, Councilmember Anika Bowie, Mayor Melvin Carter and other notable Rondo figures. We hope to see you there!
